Worried about homeschooling high school? Looking for support and guidance for you and your teen? If so, Simplify is here to support you every step of the way. Jill and Farrar will help you craft a meaningful and robust high school plan that will set up your teen for college and help them reach their goals.
All of our packages include the following:
High School Planning
- An initial meeting of approximately one hour to discuss educational history, goals, and current needs
- Targeted planning for high school that incorporates parent needs, student interests, and long-term college goals
- Yearly planning session with parent and student. We send follow-up notes and specific suggestions for courses following each session
- Four additional check-in meetings as needed during high school to fine-tune suggestions or make changes
College Counseling Support for the Student
- Review of all student documents to help determine the best college fit
- College search support and research geared toward the student’s needs and interests
- Access to Guided Path, the college software system that we use
- Guidance on up to 10 applications, including all aspects of the application
- Essay guidance on up to 10 applications, including brainstorming and detailed feedback
- A meeting to cover interview preparation, as needed
- Ongoing email support throughout the college application period
- Up to 5 hours of additional live meetings to discuss college
list, applications, interviews, or essays - Guidance and reminders of deadlines and suggestions of how to connect with colleges
- Support with final college choices
College Counseling Support for the Parent
- College search support and research geared toward the parents’ needs, including basic guidance about financial aid and merit aid
- Support helping parents and students to create a complete package that works together to showcase the student
- Support creating the following documents, which include document creation, review, editing, and discussion of how to best present the student:
- Student transcript
- Student course descriptions
- School profile
- Counselor letter
- Midyear report
- Guidance and reminders of deadlines
- Up to 2 additional meetings to discuss the parent counselor role and review documents, college choices, or practically walkthrough document submission or questions
- Support with final college choices
