Summer College Admissions Workshop for Rising Seniors and Parents

Copy of Blog posts Template (11)

This summer Simplify is hosting two online workshops. One for rising seniors, and another for their parents! These workshops will be full of support for everyone and are a great way to get a head start on the college application process.

August is a perfect time for families to prep for the admissions process. Rising seniors can get their essays done. Parents can get their documents in shape. We’ll help you review college lists, consider the new landscape this year, and give tips about navigating things like interviews and the Common App. Both Farrar and Jill will be hosting the workshops and providing one-on-one support for all.

The 3-day student workshop will run from AUGUST 9th – 11th and cost $250. We’ll focus on that all-important essay as well as helping students prioritize how to present their extracurriculars and experiences.

Our parent workshop will be over 4 days from AUGUST 12TH – 15TH and will cost $450. We will go over how best to present your student’s story and how to approach and craft that all-important counselor letter. We’ll discuss and review all the documents you need and provide templates for each of them, including transcripts, course descriptions, and school profiles. This will be your chance to write or finish all your documents and get feedback on them. Jill and Farrar will also talk about changes that have happened this year due to coronavirus and how that may affect your student.

By the end of the weekly workshops both you and your student will be on your way to having everything you need to apply to schools. We’ll help you have a cohesive application, one that tells the student’s story in a way that will make them stand out and get noticed.
