On the Horizon at Simplify

We have several projects in the works here at Simplify this year and we are excited to share them with you over the year. Here is a summary of what we have been working on.

  1. Podcasting – Our informative and fun musecasts will begin again in September. This season we will cover all the important topics related to homeschooling but we are also adding in something new. Farrar and I will be interviewing secular homeschool families across the country asking them about why they homeschool and discussing why homeschooling is a good match for their family. We are so excited about these new podcasts and can’t wait to share them with everyone.
  2.  High School Curriculum – Farrar and I felt that there was something missing from all the high school curriculum out there and decided to do something about this. The first year of our Global Perspective Studies will be available in early 2019. Our first year will be a world history concentrating on Africa, India, Asia, and the Middle East. We are excited to share this with all of you!
  3. Homeschool Books – Simplify published it’s first book earlier this year (Tweens, Tough Times, and Triumphs – Homeschooling the Middle Grades), and we want to continue publishing. We will be working on our own books and will be looking to partner with others in getting homeschool related books published and out there to the community.

  4. Classes – Simplify will be offering homeschool online classes in the future. We hope to start these sometime in 2019. These classes will be geared towards middle school and high school students and will be unique offerings not typically found.

  5. Growing Our Support Groups – We have 2 Facebook groups for homeschool families. There is CoCoH (College Confident Homeschoolers) for parents homeschooling teens with the goal of college. This is a small group with supportive and knowledgeable parents who are there to help each other on this journey. And we have a group for parents homeschooling twice-exceptional students called Asynchronous Homeschool. Both of these groups are intimate and provide individual support and camaraderie for homeschoolers that is often missing in the larger Facebook groups. We would love to have you join us!

  6. Continuing Homeschool Support – And of course we will continue with our homeschool support services. This year we are encouraging our monthly check-ins. This is a wonderful support option that is especially helpful to those that are new to homeschooling or for teens who are homeschooling through high school. With monthly check-ins, we are able to make sure you or your teen stay on track, make suggestions for any trouble areas, and provide you with specific feedback. If you are interested in monthly support please email us at muses@simplify4you.com.
